Art has been at the forefront of Tony’s life from a young age; “I was always drawing and creating a type of visual journal of what was of interest and importance to me at any given time”.

His style continuously evolves as new ideas and influences take him on a new artistic journey. Utilising recycled timber, graphic design methodologies and elegant brush work, his creations exude a sense of both nostalgia and current day references to the fabric which weaves together the cultural landscape of Aotearoa. Tony brings together colour, differing scale, intricate linework, and icons from everyday life into his work. The objective is to invite conversation and for the viewer to create their own personal connection and story within each art work.
